LT-1 Engine Noise
Hello all,
Few months ago I bought a 1994 LT-1 six speed with 34k miles. Had Corvette World go through it after I bought it and do all the maintenance.
The other day it started making a noise that seems to be RPM specific. Goes away between 1500 and 2500. I took the belt off and the noise persists.
No warning lights, all fluids look good, doesn't seem to be running rough and no lack of power.
Used a stethoscope and I don't hear the noise at the middle or rear of the valve covers, but I can hear it towards the front of both. Also can hear it in the water pump.
I've attached a video of it.
Any thoughts? I'm leaning towards the internals of the water pump.
