Mods and Vacuum Help
I've been working on a 383 build that's going to go into my 89, since I pulled the transmission to rebuild and one thing turned into another haha. Been doing lots of reading while waiting for parts since that's all I can do at this point, and I read a couple threads about high overlap cams causing vacuum issues with brakes and accessories. Looking for some advice on whether I shouldn't even worry about it, or if I should start looking at ways to increase my vacuum to make sure I still have brakes. The cam I'm going to be using is a Comp Cams Thumpr with hydraulic flat tappet lifters, .479/.465 lift, 279/297 duration. More specs on the product page here: https://www.jegs.com/i/COMP-Cams/249/K12-600-4/10002/-1. Just trying to make sure I'm doing things the right way so I can keep this sweet ride for a long time.
Thanks all,
Gavin
