This is not me asking for opinions on rear mount turbo's, what I'm looking for is personal experience, advice, and parts.
After building several renditions of under the hood manifolds I've decided with my skill level, the cost effectiveness, and heat/space constraints, I would like to attempt a rear mount turbo setup. I'm not aiming for the moon with power or boost, and not trying to beat ET's. I've already mapped out my headers, to Y-pipe, to single turbo, to intercooler, to manifold. What I really want to know is how anyone has run their oil system. Complete divorce? From where on the block, to turbo, to scavenge pump, to block? And any general advice about tackling this project.
Somewhere in here, someone did a turbo where the spare tire goes. You should be able to find in a search. As i recall, the boost lag was quite noticable.
Pictures do not answer questions, I understand reading comprehension is difficult but if you paid attention you would know I already know how its going to be routed.
If you had paid attention, you would have noticed one of the pictures references a company named STS. For years this company has made a rear mounted turbo kit for the C4. Maybe you could use them as a resource instead of reinventing the wheel. Of course you seem to know everything so continue on. Maybe a nitrous setup would be easier for you.
