I've got '95 LT1 w/ 4L60e and using TunerCat...was wondering if there's a way to shorten the time between shifts when shifting manually. Tranny seems to hesitate before going into the next gear selected.
I've already played w/ the "Force motor" values, so the firmness of the shift has definitely improved, but still think it should respond more quickly when manually going thru them...
What exactly is the "Shift Time vs. %TPS vs. Shift" table? All my values above 37.5% TPS show more than 6 seconds...what is taking 6 seconds to happen?
Is this a tuning function or shift kit / valve body modification?
Can's say for sure, as I don't work on those "almost" ODB2's, but in the OBD2 world, GM pulls timing out of the engine when it is shifting gears. They call it torque managment.
It is still new to me, but I believe this table is interwoven into other functions of the engine.
OBD2 is not as straight forward at 1 was.
