Placed my C4 in storage ten years ago and recently decided to get her out. Drained the tank and put five gallons of 93 in it and she started right up and much to my surprise she ran great. However, I could not get the engine to accelerate at all when the gas pedal was depressed (felt slight normal resitsance). This accelerator problem really has me completely baffled and is preventing me from moving the car under its own power. I'm so old school (1960s era) that its frustrating for this old boy when I can't figure out these 'complicated' newer vehicles. Can anyone please help me out with as to what my problem might be? Thanks.

If you think that's "complicated", wait till you buy a new vehicle. I couldn't drive my brand new Ranger (2,000 km) last night for an hour because the fkn thing was "updating".
Put a fuel pressure meter on and see what's happening at prime and idle. Sitting that long there may be an issue with the injectors so check resistance on each injector and voltage.
sounds like some sort of blockage, at first read. I'd recommend cleaning the air filter, replacing the fuel filter and making sure mice haven't filled the cat converter. I always do the easy / cheap stuff first. then on to spark plugs and maybe rotor and cap. after 10 years of sitting, some junk in the fuel tank may have dislodged and made it past the fuel filter. I'd check injectors for restriction, but last. not easy, nor cheap. good luck!

With engine off and key off have a helper depress gas pedal slowly all the way to floor. With intake air tube removed see if throttle plates move smoothly and open all the way . Check for obstruction in front and back of plates. Also,as previously mentioned check entire air intake system for nests, debris, etc.
Thanks for your responses, gentlemen. Well, I attempted to see if the throttle cable was actually working and low and behold, it was indeed stuck! I gave it a slight tug and it broke loose and is now working properly. Lucky me it wasn't more of a problem, though I still have other issues that will have to be dealt with in due time.
