I was backing my truck into my driveway and completely forgot my car was sitting there. This is a new truck does not have reverse senors on it. It only has the rear camera and I was looking at the mirror to line myself up on the narrow driveway and bump!!! F me! The trailer hitch broke my bumper. Can this be repaired? If so how? I have had this whole car apart and I painted it many years ago myself so I have no issues tearing into it.
To try a repair, you have to take the skin off and try to glue some reinforcement to the back of it to stabilize the tear.
Not sure where you get a glue that stick to urethane. Then you have to finish the front and respray.
I would suggest getting another skin and respray that instead.
Is it repairable Yes I believe so I remember the body shop in the dealership repairing torn covers, and it would need to come off.
But these covers ave very available new and used, so I would get a good one take your time get the paint right and do a swap in an afternoon
