Default Burn off module

Hello, I have a 1985 Corvette. The car was running rough. I jumped the codes and got cold 34. The MAF sensor had a few broken wires so I replaced it. Now with the car is doing is starting and stalling it will not run. I pulled out the burn off module and opened it up and the relay is constantly clicking on and off. If I hold the relay open and start the car it runs beautiful. I want to buy a new one, but nothing is tested and I’m afraid of getting the same thing that I have. If I Cut the wire to the relay and just leave the relay open will that mess anything else up? I know it’s not correct. Thank you.

yes, I did. I cleared the codes and then the car kept starting and stalling . But the burn off box the relay keeps clicking so I held it open and the car runs great. If I let it close it automatically stalls. I know it’s not right, but I was just gonna de pin the power wire going into it and just leave it open for now and just wanted to know if it would mess anything else up.

Just checking because it seems aftermarket mafs do not have a burn off circuit and that is what you’re having a problem with.
Is it setting any codes ?
