Solid mounts and/or anti-torque strap
OK so my engine is moving so much that the one of the pulleys for my supercharger was ground down by a suspension bolt.
I need either solid engine mounts or at least an anti torque strap.
Anyone have leads on either?
That same bolt contacted my pulley as well with my old d1-sc procharger. That was wtih solid motor mounts.
(To answer your question: there was a guy here ‘churchkey’ who made the solid mounts I am using).
I had to grind the head of the bolt down.
this is a probably a separate issue that you dont have, but I determined the s/c bracket was bending under boost and I had to recut my bracket with another leg to it with a support peg (between both brackets) in the direction it was bending (photo 2). That was causing the belt to become unseated
Have had no problems since i went to f1a-94 and upped to boost to 20+ psi. (383 splayed main, forged)
