I've replaced rotors, brake pads, master cylinder and brake fluid, yet the braking on my 1994 is poor. Hard as I press the pedal, can hardly lock up the tires. The only other thing I think I can do is a new power brake booster. Does anyone have any experience that could give me some advice? What brake booster is best? Is it hard to install? Is there something else I should or could consider?

Reason: more advice
I had mine fail on my 85 a few years ago as I was exiting the thruway. . Same thing hard peddle. There was a crack in the case, the 85 was a plastic case.
Since I was 300 miles away, I replaced it with a Auto Zone one. It's been good so far.
Check the vacuum lines before you change out the master. Also make sure you have vacuum at the hose.

Hadn't thought about vacuum. Will now. Was installation of your booster easy?
Had problems with mine too. Turned out to be caliper (front) after I complained to a mechanic of mine for several years. Wheels would not lock uo also. pulled vac lines off booster and no stopping power. Never got out of driveway to test it,
Hard to change, no - but a PIA as the bolts are on the firewall.
If I remember correctly you need a long extension and 2 universals. I pulled the drivers seat to make it easier, as I did it at a friends house, with limited tools.

Didn't know you have to access nuts inside the firewall. I'm also uncertain how to detach the rod from the back of the old booster and attach it to the new one. Most of the boosters I've seen don't include a rod. Is it difficult?
You don't really have to disconnect much. The rod is held on with a "carter pin clip" , once the under dash panel is removed its right there. unscrew the master from the booster, don't take the brake lines off. Unscrew the booster using long extensions and out it comes. It took about an hour and a half, not rushing and not having a lot of tools.
There are numerous videos on u tube, always watch a few different ones as some are not as good as they should be,

I'll soon do this project...sounds like my limited mechanical ability should suffice. TY much. Doug K.
