Yes, never changed it. I have never taken the car to an oil change shop, and I am careful to not over torque the drain plug. If it ever starts leaking, I'll replace it.

That’s good to know. I do oil changes on my own, but I always replaced the gasket.
I made an oil plug gasket from rubber that I cut out from an old tire. Actually made around 10 of em and stuck em in a mason jar on the shelf.
Still on the first one, even after a few years of use, and it'll likely hold up from a very long time before swapping it out for another one, as it holds its form when you remove to drain.
Works great. Nice and thick and you can torque it down nicely without stripping the threads or destroying the gasket. It forms a really good seal.
The orange version is the OEM drain plug gasket. Use that one. The black one is aftermarket and probably not as good quality.
For a long time, I'd go to the GM dealer and get the OEM drain plug gasket for like $1.50 or something. Then the price jumped to like $5 and so after that, I just use the aftermarket version from Autozone. Though make sure to use the kind with metal crush washer and rubber as that's the OEM type.
I also have one of those "Goldplug" magnetic drain plugs to help catch metal particles. Also this can be used to see if major damage is happening if say you are seeing chunks of metal on the drain plug magnet.
