How long can it last?
How long will my rear last if i put drag radials on it ? I know it not the smartest thing to do, how weak is the dana 36? I would like to get some times in before a change out the rearend to a 44 in the future.

Every car is different. My Dana 36 lasted about 10 runs before I noticed trouble, now remember I don't know the whole history of this car, I'm teh 5th owner and it only had 36,000 miles.
Problem went away for a while(posi unit).
43 runs later, something popped(most likely the posi) I was able to drive home, but I couldn't make tight turns without the rear skipping around. I stll haven't taken it apart yet to see what is wrong.
BTW, these runs were all on street tires.
Now that I have a D44, I'm using drag radials.
This is just my experience, other cars have gone longer(Mackey had at least 300 runs on his D36 with drag radials).
