My ignition coil pack BAT wire is completely burned up on my 1985 C4. The car still runs and drives as usual, but what could cause this?
The coil pack is brand new, less than a week old. As my previous one (about a year old, same from Delphi) had the TACH wire all burnt up.
What's causing my coil pack wires to burn up like this?
I'm not sure. I've never seen such a part unless it's heavily blended into the rest of the car.
My car came with a kill switch. I've never had any electrical issues, so I assume the grounds are okay.
Maybe not okay enough...
I'm sure the ground strap is there but is a forgotten part but not in a well running car, why are the wires burnt Heat the circuit creates heat the engine makes heat over time stuffed under a unvented cover the insolation may have a schunk a bit and it looks like it rubbed through against the coil.
