Sorry to ball all this up in one post, but I didnt want to "flood" the board with more posts from myself.
1st- What are ALL the reasons or should I say causes behind a car missing? Plug wires, plugs, timing etc. I'm having a bear of a time finding out what is causing mine.
2nd-Where do all of you hang your air freshener? I like to keep mine hidden but there isn't many places to do that in a vette without totally hiding it so it doesnt work.
3rd- Sumitomo HTRZ II Tires are WELL WORTH every penny I spent on them. I would highly reccommend these tires to anyone.
Don't forget possible issues with fuel injectors, such as dirty injectors, fuel pressure issues, wiring damage to the injectors....
Typically, however, on our cars ignition is the problem in some form or another.
Oh, one other possibility (if your engine is a high mileage engine or you pound on it a lot) is you could possibly have worn rings allowing some oil to get into the chamber and cause misfires.
Most likely, you're looking at something ignition, but you said you wanted all the causes ;-)
Jack up the rear end so both wheels are clear. Make a mark on the driveshaft and another on one of the tires. Rotate the tires one complete revolution and count the number of times the driveshaft turns. If it really is a 3.73, it should turn about three and three-quarter times for one wheel rotation.
