The Stereo in my 95 LT1 is the basic system (not Bose). Everything seems to working, but I have a buzz or vibration in the right front speaker which seems to be bass related. Questions: How do you get access to those front enclosures, and are there just speakers in there or is there also an integrated amp? I'd love to just install some better speakers.
with the basic system, you don't have individual amps. just speakers.
to get to the speaker, you have to remove the rocker panel cover. there are a number of screws where the door hits when closed.
you also have to remove the plastic trim piece next to the door striker (interior coloured - is the cover that covers the gap between the rocker and all the carpet in that area.
the rocker should just come out.
I would recommend some Polk Audio GRX series speakers for replacement.

:withstupid: just replace them with some decent 4x6's if you aren't upgrading the rest of the system, shouldn'run you more than $50 unless you plan on upgrading in the future, then you might consider some better ones :D
