Default header wrap...

I have the started blanket and "cool tape" for my fuel lines. I started putting the wrap on, what a PITA  Does it help that much where it need to be put on? Anyone not have it and doing ok? Also if it is needed how do you keep it on? the directions said a hose clamp but theres no way a clamp will fit.

2149s are coated and do not need (nor should they be) wrapped. The wrap will trap whatever heat they do give off between the wrap and the coating and the coating will fail prematurely. I have 2149s on my car and they are relatively low-temp. You can turn the engine off and grab them with your hands not even 15 minutes after you turned the engine off.

Cool, thanks a lot. They don't look coated though. Gtranted I don't know what coating looks like but they just look metal. Is that normal? I got them used so I want to make sure I got what he advertised.
