Replace or rebuild LT4
My buddy has a LT4 that has a seized crank bearing. Any ideas on the cost to replace the short block or rebuild? His local dealer quoted him $6200 for a replacement crate motor and $2000 labor!!!! :eek:

If you can pull the motor and re-install it yourself you can have a forged stroker motor for that price.

If money is an issue then you can pick up stock LT1 shortblocks for about $1500 or so. Check the ads in the back of GMHigh Tech Perfomance magazine and look at some of the GM performance parts dealers.
