MSD harness help
alright here is the deal, i have a 93 LT1 corvette and i recently purchased an MSD 6AL ignition box. a Buddy of mine gave me a harness that makes the install easier to the coil but the harness was for his 96 vette and has a 3 wire connector. My coil plug is a small blue 4 wire connector and I am just wondering if there is a harness that will fit it. the one i have now is MSD P/N 8877, and i asked MSD tech and they said i needed PN 8876 which is way too big.
so do is there a harness to buy to ease the install or am i stuck splicing things :confused:

Not sure how much help this is for you, but I too use an MSD 6AL Ignition Box
in my '86 Vette.
I purchased my MSD box from TPiS, in addition to their 'Special Adapter Harness'...which did ease the installation time.
I would suggest you give TPiS a call, and explain to them the exact problem you laid out in your post.
Perhaps they have the 'correct' harness for you.
Mine was only $20...back in 1999.
I'm not pushing TPiS on you...just making a suggestion to resolve your problem.

What would a MSD box make on a stock 93 LT1?
Just a better spark? sounds like alot of trouble for a little gain.. But then agian IM sure there are reasons for this MOD..

There is an easy wiring harness for the LT1, it works like a charm.
Why would you want an MSD? Well the better spark is just insurance really, no real gain if it's already running right. I use mine mainly for the much better than stock rev limiter.
