Need help............Lingenfelter header pics........Please take a look.
I bought these 1 5/8" Lingenfelter headers recently From a forum member and got the lingenfelter Y-pipe for practically free from another Forum member. The collectors on the headers measure 2 1/2" in Dia. The Y-pipe measures approx 3 1/8" in dia? Errrrr what's the deal? Shouldn't it be a direct fit or am I missing a set of reducers?

You have a y pipe for 1 3/4 inch headers and 1 5/8 headers. The larger headers also have 3 inch collectors as you measured on your y. Search around for someone who a y for the 2 1/2 collectors

No problem JD I just need to find a smaller Y-pipe.
Do you know where I can find one on a short notice? Do I have to get a LPE Y pipe or is there something else that will fit? I would assume the length has to be right so it bolts right up to my existing exhaust, I don't want to run into length problems when I install this.

Hey Magoo, just answered your email. Terry's right I believe the LPE 1-5/8" primary headers have 2-1/2" collectors & the 1-3/4" primary headers have 3" collectors.
I have some reducers that were welded to my 3" exhaust that adapted to those headers...you could weld em' back onto the ends of your "Y" pipe. I'll throw em' in the box with the nitrous stuff.
Though with your mods I would have the collectors expanded to fit that 3" "Y" pipe. Be careful & don't let the exhaust shop split the collector while expanding it.
