front outer tie rod end

front outer tie rod end
ijust recieved my tie rod ends for my 86. I noticed that they dont have a grease fitting, there doesnt appear to have a spot for one, any ideas

Who made them and where did they come from?? GM? Moog? TRW? WongFu Industries? Front tie rod ends should always have a zerk fitting.
Some tie rod ends may have a plastic plug pushed into the hole and you would have to pop it out and install the proper fitting.

You may have the polygraphite type tie rod end where the lubrication is impregnated into the surface of the metal. Here is a link on this type of tie rod:

i got them at The last detail corvette for 31.00 The box they came in say ac delco

Actually GM didn't use zerks on tie-rods on the later C4s. On my '96, the only zerks on the car are the front ball joints.

My 92 has them and they are the original ones. Any idea when they changed??

Not sure when they changed, but that seems to be the trend these days. Kind of like sealed wheel bearings I suppose :)
