[Tech Question] {Horn}
Seing I am not alone on this subject...I have a sometimes functional horn,and sometimes not. If you turn the wheel, they'll work...and they work fine with the vats. Has anyone come up with a solution to the contact trouble? Could you make a remote switch or purchase new buttons from somewhere? I needed mine last night and thank God it worked...:)

Going beyond what I have written, I have heard of the contacts inside the steering hub going bad. I believe I was told that to access them required dismantling/pulling the hub. Never had to go that far myself. Looking at the parts blowup in the GM Y car parts manual nothing is shown on how the assembly is put together and what is in there.

JD, I had a general contact problem where the button touched the sides but I think your air bag complicates things beyond my simple fix.
Anyway my malfunction wasn't position dependent so sounds like it was different from yours.
