Put the spring back in today
The saga continues! Finished mig welding my shortened clamps so i was ready for spring instalation. Got the spring into the cross member and reconnected the lower control arm. Now i'm looking at the ends of the spring and their not even close to the pockets in the control arm. Damn, how am i going to get them in there. I remembered reading the tech tip on spring removal and how he greased up some blocks, greased up the floor and whatever else he could grease and on and on. There is no way i was going to get that elaborate. I decided to put some silicon grease on the bottom and sides of the rubber spring pads and jack each control arm a little at a time. Just like greased lightning,those pads found their home and i bolted up the ball joints and hooked up the shock absorbers. Darkness fell and the wine bottle beckoned!! The day is done. Tomorrow i will finish the front and complete the lowering of the rear. It's almost over,what to do next!!!! :cheers: :D
