I did it on my 96. I'm glad I had the Field Service Manual (FSM), it has a good step by step explaination specfic to my year Vette. It's important to have the correct FSM, the cheapy Haynes manual doesn't track all the changes esp for LT1 Vettes.
It's a PITA, but I purchased the radiator for ~$210 shipped to my house, the dealer wanted $400 for the radiator and $400 in labor. Saved myself $600.
Of course, I explained to my wife the $600 saved was mine to blow on the Vette, now I've got a set of 11" rims waiting for tires :)
