Jesse, i have a set of 16x8 with 5.5 BS. Since you have an 89, we have the same width rear. They will be close. With an ET street, mine would stick out less than 1/2 inch.
I mounted them without the tire to check clearance, they are gonna be CLOSE! With the car jacked up, they are out about 1" from the fender. I think when there is a tire mounted on the wheel, and they have the weight of the car on them, they will most likely be flush. Hopefully when the car squates, the tops of the tires will tip in enough to clear. GUess we will see :D

Jesse, sorry to say, but i think you would have been better off with 15x10x7.5BS
Dave, the rears changed in 88, as did the rest of the suspension. I have a complete 93 rear my 85.
