SYS keeps comeing on ??
This is a 94 just got it Thu. when I picked it up we had to jump it to start it.
Should I have the battery checked. Or could it be something other than
the battery. Car starts right up but the SYS keeps comeing on.

When my battery is low (from sitting around in the winter) the SYS will flash. If the battery is original, or older than 3-4 years, I'd replace it.

blk90, the SYS indicates the CCM (not the ECM, engine control module) has detected a fault. Two of the most common reasons are the CCM has seen the ignition voltage out of range(usaully just a battery going) or the radio head unit has been changed to an aftermarket unit that has a different resistance in the backlight dimmer circuit which the CCM takes to be an error(which can be fixed easily).There are a few other things that can set the SYS, but they don't effect the engine. :steering:
