LT1 VS. LT4 INTAKE
I just heard that the lt1 and lt4 intakes are the same. Is this true or the person that made this statement was just full of it? Hope his vette runs a 14sec. at the track . ha ha. :auto:

They are different. The intake ports are higher on the LT4 version. Will not work on an LT1 set of heads.

The outside of the casting is bigger, but the actual cast ports are basicly LT1 ports. If you want to make some extra HP on an LT4, porting the intake manifold will help. An LT4 manifold will do nothing on LT1 heads, the LT1 head's intake runner is lower than the LT4 intake runner.

Portmatch the heads and intake, then lop off the ear's on the very top of the Intake.(If you put the intake on before you take off the heads you will know what Im talking about.
