Default procharger question

I just got a used procharger. with twin intercoolers for my 85. When I got home I noticed that it is really for a 90-91 vette. The only different thing I cn notice is it makes no provision for the mass airflow sensor. I was wondering if anyone has a procharger on their 85 and where their MAF sensor is, or if anyone can tell me if it should be a blow through or draw through ( the sensor). thanks.

I don't have one, and i'm not 100% sure. However, I think it's blow through...

The 90-91 uses a MAP sensor instead of the MAF.
On the 85-89 single intercooler kit, the MAF is located on the outlet of the intercooler between a 90* rubber 3"elbow and the #4 tube heading for the TB. It is pointing up towards the hood on the front side ofthe radiator.
Did you get an installation manual with the kit? I remember somewhere out in internet land someone had the manual posted in PDF format.
Good luck on the install.

This is probably an obvious comment, but make sure the MAF is after the dual intercooler pipes merge back into one (so you measure the total airflow, not 1/2). As mentioned above the 85-89 had a single intercooler so the MAF was mounted right at the intercooler outlet.

As for airflow, I wasn't ever quite sure how the air suddenly decided to flow upward thru those horizontal intercoolers; I'd plan on fabricating some kind of airscoop...

I've been thinking about getting a procharger for my '85. Wondered what type of boost you can run on the engine stock?
