I was changing the oil today and noticed this, so what is it? I straightened the fins cause I'm pretty sure their not supposed to be bent, and also cleaned up all that grease under there. :eek:
Are you sure? That thing is HUGE! I don't know anything about '92's, but it can't be a trans cooler (although it looks big enough) on a 6 speed car. My money is on an engine oil cooler. Follow the lines connected to it, and tell US.
100% positive. LT1 Vette's don't have any form of oil cooler. In fact that's one theory why synthetic oil is required for Vettes but not F-bodies. F-bodes had oil coolers (or oil warmers as the case may be)

I bow to the voice of a man that owns one. I still think it looks huge. It has two rows of tubes and at least 4 passes in each row. It's a wonder the ice cubes can flow back to the reservoir. Thank you.

LT5's got oil coolers :D and still used Synthetic oil as well.
