Default Need Help with Getting Off Rotors

I have a 1996 LT4 with Heavy Duty J55 brakes. I have removed the caliper without any trouble but the rotor will not slide off.

Do I need a Gear Puller to get them off?

If rusted apply Liquid Wrench and wrap sharply but not too hard with a hammer.

Heavy duty should signify larger diameter but I don't think they would be a press fit.

They should just slide off.

A rap with a hammer should break them loose if they are stuck, and if they are stuck probably due to corrosion.

If a hammer doesn't work, get a 2.5-5lb mallet. Give it a good rap between each of the studs and it will loosen off the wheel.

Thanks everyone! Thats what it was... Im so glad I didnt need a gear puller. :hurray: I hit it with a hammer a few times and it came loose. Now I have to figure out how to get the pads out of the caliper...lol I'm not a mechanic, but im trying! I will get some Simple Green and a scrubby tomorrow to clean up the wheel wells and the caliper bracket etc, thanks to the advice of Thrills. You guys are great, always there when I need ya!
