Firestones on a 1990
They say that the 275/40/17 firestones look a bit narrow. I was wondering if going to a 285/40 /17 would work better or if there would be bad effects?! :confused: :flag

I have learned from experience to stay as close as possible to what the book calls for.
I put a new set of Firestones on my 94 a couple of years ago. They are very quiet, and they have a very smooth ride. They grip very well on wet pavement if you should happen to get stuck in the rain. On dry pavement they will take you through the twisties without a peep. If I were to go out and buy a new set of tires for the Vette, I would buy the Firestones. :cheers:
