Default Please help with my 383 build up

The LT1 383 for my '95 is under construction. The basics are: ported LT1 heads with bigger valves, GM Hot Cam, shorty headers with stock cats, Borla catback, stock 3.45 gears, 52 mm TB, custom programing. Hoping to reach 425 fwhp.

1) Does the stock MAF need to be changed?
2) Do I need a replacement or anciliary fuel pump?
3) Do I need to change to LT4 fuel rails?
4) What size fuel injectors do you recommend?
4) What plugs do you recommend?
5) Any other advice?

Any and all opinions appreciated.

You shouldnt need to change the MAF, not with the Hotcam, the MAF is good to the ~500hp range before youd need to consider changing to MAP.

Stock pump should be fine, standard injectors for a 383 are #30s.

Why are you converting to FWD? :jester

1. I still run the stock MAF less screen.
2. Still have stock fuel pump but will be going to Walbro when I can.
3. Still have stock fuel rails and don't see they need to be changed.
4. 30lbs. SVO (about $600 cheaper than GM)
4. (again? :jester ) I run NGK TR55's at .035 now. May change to AutoLite 103 or 104's next.
5. Prefer a 7 quart pan and High Volume oil pump. I've got the Canton race pan.

I don't know your exact plans on the heads, but if your going to the Hot cam, you'll need new springs and will probably want to get 1.6 roller rockers as well. I'd suggest if you're you going with a custom head, to get a cam to match. If you're just cleaning them up (like I did) then the Hot cam is fine.
