Default Fog light problems.

The light bulbs for my fog lights are rattling around inside the lens (whatever the "light unit" is called). When I got the car they were like this and I really would like to get them out of there. I have had no luck doing so. How do I go about doing this?

Your fog and parking light bulbs are accessed from within the engine compartment. Bulbs are removed with a CCW rotation.

The problem is that they aren't in their holders anymore, they are rattling around inside. I can't fish them out through the hole when I take the holders out because the holes are too darn small!

Gotcha...I'll try to get smarter about removing the lens. I'll be back...

This is not going to be much help, but from the info I have access to, it appears you may have to remove the bumper to get to the fog light lens and housing. Maybe some member has been through this, and will respond. Good luck.

That is what I was fearing. The shop manual hasn't been much help trying to figure this out either. Like you said, I am sure someone else has already been down this road and will chime in.

So I saw in another thread that to get at the light housings you have to remove the nose and there are 56 bolts holding that on. Ugh. I think I will just leave that alone for now.

DF, I did an archive search and this thread was provided:

When scorp says to remove the front bumper....that's you answer.
