Default 17x11 wheels

I'm thinking of putting 17x11 wheels on the rear of my '93 vette. Has anyone done this? Is there anything I should Know? What about the offset - do you go with Gran Sport wheels?

I went with AFS 50mm offset, they fit fine. www.afswheels.com

I use the ZR1 wheels {36mm offset } for autocrossing with 315 35 17 tires with no rubbing on all four wheels. The tires do stick out past the rear wheel well about an inch which is what I wanted.

You ask for pix of wheels on car. The only pix I have is from a distance and details can not be seen. I use R compond tires on the wheels just for autocrossing and pull a small trailer to haul them. The first autocross for the season is next weekend; and if you want a close up shot of wheel and fender I'll take the camera along and take pixs after I mount them for the event.

I run 315s front & rear for autocross/track events. I use the GS (50mm) offset and have no clearance problems - they don't stick out much at all - actually the more negative camber you run, the less they stick out at the top of the wheel well :flag

Yes, I put the 17 X 11's on the rear on my 92 LT1 and they look great... The 315 GS tires stick out about 1" on either side, but the rear view is awesome... I have not experienced any rubbing yet, but that's not to say it wont... but the look and the ride is really what I wanted...

edit: Oh BTW, I have the 36mm offset wheels.... If you want the tires completely under the wheel wells, get the 50mm offset wheels... :steering:
