Default Alarm system

Does anyone know how to disconnect the factory alarm system and still be able to use the horn? I have installed an aftermarket keyless entry w/alarm and sometimes I open an unlocked door and set the factory alarm off ... embarrassing!

The proper way to do this involves using relays to disarm the factory alarm when you unlock the doors.

In theory, you could cut the wire leading from the CCM to the horns, but that only prevents the audible part; the CCM will still disable the starter and fuel injectors.

The workaround is to only lock the doors after the doors are closed. This prevents the CCM from arming the stock alarm.
