Having a throttle response problem...............
On my little brothers '88, it seems to hesitate when you give it gas.......you can hear a sucking sound and theres a second or so delay.....then off it goes. I am unsure of what the problem is becuase i havent had to deal with this yet.....My only guess would be maybe a vacuum leak?? I am not sure if this would even cause that though. Any idea what my problem could be??

Vacuum leak, TPS needs resetting, possible fuel filter clogged up

Check the TPS setting at base idle, method on my site.
If TPS is ok, advance base timing to the max without ping.
That sucking sound is the throttle plates opening during the hesitation.

just checked the tps and advanced it by the method on your site yesterday..........everything is fine with that.

How is the fuel pressure? Last change of fuel filter? Pump relay energizing(after you turn key on but not crank the engine-can you here it in the tank)?
