is there a difference between #1227165 or #16198259 ???
And what are "they" referring to when they mention 'engine code 8' eight cylinders?

Yeah, same thing really. I have an '86 and it came with the replacement and I also have been using a 165 ECM to try and figure out why its running like garbage
Code 8 is the VIN code for teh 5.7 MPFI engine.. I think the 8th digit of the VIN should be 8
