Mine is about on it's way out. Looking thru MAD for a new one, all they have is the '85 and up. Is there a difference? Will a later model booster work on my '84? Aren't a '85 and '84 about the same?
I just saw a couple listed at Contemporary Corvettes..they were 75 and 100 bucks..they have a website with an 800 #...I've never dealt with them maybe someone else can chime in...

I talked to them on the phone a couple of times and was not impressed. Don't get me wrong, they could be an excellent company. I just didn't care for the guy on the phone.
Bought my 85's from Auto Zone a several years ago. Made my the same company as the original and looked just like the original. Guaranteed for life. I'm sold, its still working.
If the problem is for sure your brake booster... They are very simple to rebuild! I rebuilt mine in less than an hour. The rebuild kit simply includes a new rubber seal and some o-rings. My symptom was simply a very hard pedal, due to a loss in vacuum. Upon removal I found the rubber seal that seals the two large plastic parts together was rotten. Rebuild was simple and cost effective. If my memory serves me correctly the rebuild cost about 20 dollars.
