Default axcr, anyone using it?

(For conversion from 165 as i assume an original sd vette is already using this.) Seems to be a better choice for our vettes?? I guess you have to disable the oil temp to the ecm if you use the 730, i guess the 727 can use it though. My understanding is that the timing is very aggressive but should only be used with alum. heads. ?????

axcr = auto
axcn = manual

I think I emailed you earlier, I just picked up a 727 for $25 and I'm going to use that instead so I now have many more questions :lol:

I'm trying to figure out the pinouts between the 165 and the 727, got some of it. One of the reasons for the 727 was to keep everything that I could and use a vette bin. From what I know the vette bin uses a oil temp signal that is only used on the 727 ecm. I have the book for my vette and cannot find this signal on the 165 so does the 165 have this or was it only for the 90+ vettes. So should I go with the 730 or 727 then??

Oh wow, here comes another one, Jeff. Black87, I am slowly proceeding to switch my car over to the speed density 727 ecm. Jeff was VERY helpful giving me the pin assignments. Take a look at my web site. I have a page giving some detail on this conversion. I also have the info I think you might need about the oil temp sender. I have a picture of it and the wiring plug for it. Good luck.

Ok, so a 87 vette obviously has the sensor but not to the ecm, gotcha. I was actually thinking about pulling the wires into the engine bay and putting the ecm there but after looking have no idea where it will fit. Hopefully I can get the pinout conversion and I might start this weekend, or at least start planning. I've searched for 2 days for the conversion and couldn't find it anywhere but did come accross some thirdgen postings where someone had it.
