I am going to do headers and I want the most power from the upgrade but it has to pass emissions. I already have a Flowmaster cat back system. Does anyone know how much power I could expect from Hooker shortie headers? And does anyone know if I could put Competition Longtube headers and put cats in behind them? Is that stupid or would it work? Thanks. :withstupid:
I had the same problem. But my stock exhaust manifold looked terrible, so I went with the Hooker Shorties from Jett Hot and they look much better. Hopefully they will reduce the heat under the hood after shut down. Haven't run it since I put the shorties on, too many other issues I'm working on. They went on very easy and no fabricating required.

ps. I lied. you have to cut 1" out of the AIR tube on the pass side so the AIR exhaust connection lines up. I had a machine shop do it, cost $20.
