I replaced my TPS sensor with a new GM part. In the past I have had to set it at about .65V in order to avoid getting an intermittent code 33. Please see my sig for my setup. When I apply throttle, the max voltage I get (and I need to remove the floor mat in order to get it there) is 4 volts. I noticed that there is probably another 1/4 inch the throttle will move if I try it by hand at the throttle body.
My question is does anyone believe that this is hampering my WOT performance? I've read that if the TPS reads 4 volts or higher it should go into PE mode. Is there some way to adjust the gas pedal to allow me to get the throttle cable to move that last 1/4 inch? Am I worried about nothing?
Once I set the base idle TPS voltage to about .65Vdc I snug the lower screw and rock the TPS till WOT voltage is at max then tighten the upper screw.
I repeat the above till base value is on target and WOT value is at the max.
BTW, you should be adjusting base idle TPS with the IAC pintel fully extended; the value at normal idle will then be around .75Vdc (with my setup anyway).
