Default LT1 / LT4 block casting number?
Hey neighbors -

Do all LT1 and LT4 blocks produced by the General carry the same casting number?

I'm browsing eBay looking around for a bare block or a cheap rebuilder engine, and I'm seeing F-Body, Corvette, Impala, and Truck blocks. Am I fairly safe if I decide to buy a "327" casting, no matter what vehicle it came out of?

Just wondering, this is some long-term speculation.

I would look for a Corvette block specifically. F-Body blocks are two bolt mains while our vette blocks are four bolt. :cheers:

Does GMPP still stock Corvette LT1/LT4 blocks? I'm having trouble finding them on Goodwrench.com.
