Default 91 L98 - compression test results.

2 weeks ago i had to fix a misfire that a dealer caused - part of the diagnosis i I had a compression test done. here are the results:

# 1 224 #2 215
#3 225 #4 213
#5 223 #6 210
#7 220 #8 215

How do these numbers look?

Also today after driving about 500 miles on it since picking it up - when idling it seems to jump ever so often. thoughts?

TIA,
>mike

After seeing those numbers you'll have to change your name to "Mr Good Luck"; very nice results.

You might check the plugs and wires; also see if the TB & plates are carboned up. If so use some TB cleaner on them.

just had the plugs changed (2 of the wires were on reverse - thanks to the Dealer  ) and wires were changed along with the ignition cable which was burned.

I'll check the TB this weeked hopefully. what's best cleaner to use?

Got to love those dealers :banghead:
You can use TB cleaner or if you take it off use carb clean

My 90 only put up 190 on all 8 cylinders. Those are some good numbers

I got it, no one told him not to hit the NO2 during the compression test.
