Aaron, I think you may have to use another '84 wheel. Something about the '84 wheels having a unique turn signal switch in the control stalk when later models had it in the column.

Up to 89. It has to be the pre airbag wheel. You can also just have your 84's original wheel rewrapped to the thicker style used from 86-89, and it will look a lot nicer. Kinda like this....
