Starter Paradox
Local shops have worn me out trying to figure out what starter I need for my 84 corvette. I replaced the original engine after spinning a bearing and installed a rebuilt one-piece main shortblock casting #10054727 (canadian block). The application states 86 and up and pad suffix is K0608TDF. I could not locate any stamping which actually showed the "year" on this block. The original flexplate was 12 3/4 inch and the new one-piece main flexplate is a 14 inch. It would appear to me that my setup should be the same as vettes with automatics in the 89 to 95 year range but several different starters are listed. Appreciate any advice as to how I can get a starter as I want to get her back the road? :hurray:
