Default Lowering/raising/adjusting trim height

My 92 Convert sits about 1" lower than it did a few years ago, I was thinking of adjusting the trim height, but the service manual says not to change the shims on the springs, that it would overstress the spring. Anyone here have any ideas, or tried anything else? Thanks

It seems it cost you nothing to lower it,while others spend money to get where your at. Why change it, it must look better being a bit lower.

For one thing, my rear is lower than the front, UNCOOL, and also I am bottoming out a bit when road racing.

Crank up the nuts on the long bolts at the end of the spring. That will raise the rear. Then get re-aligned.

Have you checked the rear spring for cracks, delamination, or other signs of failure? A one-inch drop with no changes sounds suspicious of other problems. JMHO, but I'd check everything carefully.

Okay, I 've been meaning to ask this... My car sits lower on the drivers side (partially because I'm a fat a**). Which way do you adjust the bolts to raise and lower the rear end. I want to try and level/lower it before I go buy new bolts.
