I feel like I am only one asking all stupid ?'s. Well here comes one more your way. I'll be d_amned if I can get that distributor clamp bolt off. I can hardly fit a wrench in there. I did heat up a wrench and bent it into an L-shape and it did fit in there like I planned but no leverage at all. And that damn bolt is still on there.
Drop a few $$ at Sears and get their dist wrench; it has "several" bends and a 12pt box-end head. Even with this tool it ain't that easy but at least possible.
Use a combination wrench on the distributor bolt ~ with the boxed end on the bolt head. Now take another combination wrench and lock the boxed end of the second wrench in the open end of the wrench used on the distributor bolt.
Practice locking your two wrenches together before hanging over the engine. You will see that they actually lock and will provide you with twice the leverage.
This works on any bolt that is difficult to break loose. Be careful and don't allow the wrenches to slip and give you a busted knuckle or a pinched hand.

At welding class tonight I brought a wrench and bent it into a L-shape then I welded a piece of cold rolled steel about 6in long to it. And thennnn I welded another piece of 6in steel to the first one and bent it back. the end product looks like an S-shape. When I got home the bolt was out in 2 sec :D
cool alternative u got! i was gonna say investin in a snapon! 23 bucks, thats what i payed for mine on the tool truck that stops by our shop everyweek,or if u dont' have the access to a dealer like MAC,etc..... go 2 SEARS! or weld. :troll
