I never said anything about building a tailhousing. What I will be selling is a steel bracket that bolts up to the tailhousing, so that you will be able to attach your torque arm to the transmission. As of right now, these brackets can only be used with aftermarket T56 transmissions. The reasons for this is because stock T56 (commonly found in camaros) transmissions do not offer enough structral integrity to reliably support this kind of modification. However I have been considering the possibility of machining a tailhousing that would bolt up to a stock trans, that would provide substantial strength over the original tailhousing. If I did make this part it would be constructed out of high grade aircraft aluminum. This is just in the thought phase and would have to be designed, built and tested still. I probably wont know whether I will initiate a tailhousing product line until my business is up and running and I have time to see if I will be able to continue running. Ill keep you posted.

can anyone tell me what would be needed to swap a ZF for a t-56??? clutch/flywwheel?? etc... waht are the individual ratios in the t-56 tranny?
also i think many people who do this mod will be using camaro t-56's because they are more common.. etc.. maybe im wrong.

I gotcha...Sorry for the misunderstanding. I'm in the middle of doing the same thing for TH400's...Except I'm building a complete tubular chromoly torque arm to do completely away with the aluminum C-beam... Good luck, you'll get lots of interest!
