Jeb, thanks for the pics.

The N2O fuel tank you emailed me, did you build that?
The system looks great!

What is that aluminum Box for?

Also so to relocate the battery, I would need to run the thick guage from the drivers side, to the pass side, go through the firewall, then come back to the rear compartment and then go through the storage? where the Battery would be kept? PLus I can ground it on the frame in the back right? Or is it better to ground near the engine?

It is a fuel tank, it holds racing gas for just the nitrous system.

 In the engine compartment? IS that even legal?

Anyway I was thinking, if you relocate the battery, then the empty space could be used for a Water tank for an air to water intercooler for a force fed engine.

Yes, it is legal...A lot of dragsters have their fuel cells mounted in the engine compartment. As Bill stated it is a 1.25 gallon fuel cell strictly for my nitrous system. It holds VP C16 and is low pressure like a carb (7-10 psi) which allows a great deal more tunability than high pressure EFI N2O fuel setups. I did build a similar box for a supercharged Vette that holds ice for an air/water intercooler...

As for the battery relo in the rear compartment you can ground it to the frame but I ran mine back up to the engine. Either way you'll need a secondary ground strap between the frame and engine.

Would it be easier to just run 2 thick guage wires from the stock location to the back? As in just take all the connections that run off the batter terminals and connect them to one big wire and run 2 of them to the batter? Does the wire go under the car, or inside under the rug or something?

No, considering this is what powers your entire car it is better to have as straight a line and as few splices/connections as possible to ensure good current flow.

The cables can be either run under the car or through the car...I ran mine through the car under the carpet in the passenger side. Works very well and you don't even know it's there. One bit of suggestion though; use a top post battery instead of those damn infernal side post batteries. It's a bitch to work on the side posts in the confined space of the storage compartment!

:iagree:
I relocated mine to the pass side storage compartment also. Ran the wires down below the pass door. It is very tough to get weight on the RR tire, even with adjustable coilover shocks.

So how did you split your + wire then? first 2 ways maybe, 1 to the starter and then the other branches off gradually to other components? Maybe the way the stock cable branches off?

There's a 8 guage primary wire that goes from the hot side on the starter (where the + batt cable is attached) to the power block located behind where the battery used to be located. That feeds the rest of the system.

HOw many amps does your battery kick out? Also so are you saying that you have one fat wire going to the power block and the feeds the rest of the system like a stock battery would?

Go back up and look at the pics and my description of them below in a post...You'll see where I list the wire going from the starter hot pole to the powerblock... I don't remember what amperage my battery is; it's just a cheap ol' Enterstate one. It does the job running all of my stuff including my DFI, my big Aeromotive pump, my big N2O fuel system, and all of the other accessories including the stereo (which has to be turned up REALLY loud to hear).
