Default [UPDATE] Dissapointing Track Results

Well, this is the stupidest outcome!

Sure enough, just as datamaster said, i was only getting 65% throttle!

There is some slack in the cable and when i push down the throttle, the body only opens up partally! :smash: :smash: :smash:

Now, does anyone know how to adjust the cable?

On my 94, the accellerator cable adjusts going to the ASR. Pull up on the cable adjuster, stretch the cable to adjust, and then snap the adjuster clip back down.

I had the same problem on my car after changing throttle bodies. It was a nice surprise when I realize that it wasn't going to WOT. Just an easy adjustment, and an instant horsepower increase.

Here it is, hopefully the pic will show but lately the forum hasn't been doing well showing pics in the post, only show's 'em in sigs.

push the button in and pull the cable carrier to right (toward back of car) to tighten or remove slack. Push button and shove the cable carrier left (into the adjuter) to add slack or loosen the throttle cable.

pic (hopefully):

Better times will surely follow. Still need to get rid of that timing retard problem though. I don't know what can be causing it to retard the timing without seeing any knock, might try that LT1 knock module again.
