Default 4L60e Temp sensor location ???

Has anyone installed a tranny temp gauge for their 700R4/4L60e? I'm in the process of installing AutoMeter Phantom gauges in my C3 (w/ Lt1/4L60e) and choose to replace the dreaded clock w/ a tranny temp gauge. The temp sensor will have to be welded/brazed into the pan, so wanted to know if there is a "safe" location that won't interfere w/ anything.

Thanks!

Dr.

you want to install it in the direction of fluid leaving the transmission to the cooler.

The temp. of fluid leaving is of greater use than that of comming in.
