Default Look at these X rated pictures!

Well, I had to get your attention somehow.

Here's my plan for a little TCC and Fan modification.
I want the TCC to lock up at a little higher speed and the fans to come on sooner.

I'm getting a "Shift" light at about 55mph in 4th gear. Recently changed the 4th gear switch in the transmission and think it's the wrong type, i.e; N.C. when it's supposed to be N.O.
That's the reason for the 4th gear switch parameter change.

Do these look ok?

Temps are in degrees C.
Speeds are MPH.

I take it you've changed to a lower temp thermostat? As for the tc-just have to try it and see if you like the new settings-I went back and forth a few times. Just keep in mind that if it's not locking up, then it's making more heat...probably no biggie on a stock tc, but if you've swapped to a higher stall, then you could see higher trans temps.

THose look OK, but remember and this is what I was told by the guy that did my tranny. A TC that is not made to stay unlocked is VERY inefficient when not locked, and it will also cause a bunch more added heat (#1 killer of trannies). He told me not to mess with the setting as they will not realize much of a gain, and could cause major problem for you in the future.

But the call is up to you.

Hey guys,
THANKS FOR THE INPUT AND INFORMATION. PLEASE GIVE ME MORE!!!!!!!

I tried the new settings.
The fans now appear to be doing something other than keeping the engine from going into catastrophic meltdown at the last minute.
Temp is staying much more even now with 90 degree temps today.

My water temps have been getting REAL close to 250 in traffic on a hot day. Turning on the AC would help but wouldn't cool it down as much as I'd like.

The TCC feels better with the new settings, at least to me.
I only got in one test run in this afternoon. If it doesn't rain tommorow, I'll try it in town driving and see how it feels.
Transmission is one of those "Raptor" things outta Lousiana.
Torque Converter is a 2800 stall converter.
Actually with my stock 350 it's about a 2600 rpm stall.

I have a trans. cooler but can't find a good place to put it. There's not much room on a Vette to stick stuff like that.

I'm a little confused about the two fans. Does the ECM control BOTH of them?
Or is there a temp sensor somewhere that controls the second fan?
There's a place in the PROM for Fan 1 and Fan 2 control.

Do I need to make a few WOT runs and record what I've got to see where to go from here?

I've got a AFPR but haven't installed it yet.
Typically does adjusting the fuel pressure offer and measurable gains?

So far here are my mods:

1) Open Lid & K&N Filter
2) 2800 Stall Converter
3) Throttle Body Bypass
4) No Frisbee
5) Cut-Back Spark Plugs
6) Base Timing +8 Degrees. (Will try +10 next time I have my monitoring equipment connected)
7) 165 Thermostat

I can feel a definite improvement in the way the car feels from before I did these things.

I have a set of AS&M runners and a set of SLP Siamese Runners.(Neither are Installed)
Also have a 52mm Tbody. (Not Installed)

What should I do next???
